Starting next week, Northside Christian Academy will be hosting the annual MAC (Metrolina Athletic Conference) Basketball Tournament. We are expecting a fantastic turnout, welcoming 7 schools to our gymnasium. The 8-member athletic conference is comprised of Concord First Assembly, Gaston Christian School, Gaston Day School, Hickory Grove Christian, Metrolina Christian, Northside Christian, Southlake Christian and Westminster Catawba and is extremely competitive in more than 10 sports and represents the greater Charlotte Metropolitan area. The tournament will begin on Tuesday, February 10 and will conclude on the final day of Friday, February 13.
The seeding chart and schedule (which is posted to your left) is the lineup for this year’s tournament. For the girls, seeded first is our very own Northside Christian. Second is Concord First Assembly, followed by Hickory Grove in third and SouthLake Christian in fourth. Tied at fifth are Metrolina and Gaston Day. Seventh and eighth seeds, respectively, are Gaston Christian and Westminster Catawba.
For the boys, seeded first is also Northside Christian, followed by Concord First Assembly in second. Third seed is Gaston Day, followed by fourth seeded SouthLake Christian. Fifth and sixth seeds are Metrolina Christian and Hickory Grove. Seventh and eighth seeds, respectively, are Westminster Catawba and Gaston Christian.
